About the Artist

Olivia is an interdisciplinary artist and academic misfit, focusing on storytelling and live performance. As a creator, director, writer, designer, filmmaker, and teacher, her goal is to spread joy and wonder through transformation of everyday objects, whimsical adaptations, and hopeful endings.

After ten years of experience with eighteen different community, educational, or professional theatre groups, she began her journey into performance as research through her BA in Performance Studies from Texas A&M University (2022), where she completed two devised theatre honors thesis projects. In between semesters at Columbia College Chicago, she used her stage management, technical, and directorial skills for several summer children’s musicals at The Theatre Company of Bryan-College Station.

In the final days of finishing her MFA in Acting and Contemporary Performance Making in Berlin, Olivia is preparing to move to Texas, starting her own educational children’s theatre program for students K-12, working on her next devised adaptation of Grace Darling’s daring maritime rescue mission in 1838, learning new hula hoop tricks, and is beyond grateful to her friends, mentors, and family for their support.
